Abate Technology Services LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of our clients and their data. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information in the course of providing managed IT services and SMS/text messaging communications to small businesses.
1. Information We Collect.
We may collect and process the following types of information:
- Business Contact Information: Names, email addresses, phone numbers (including mobile numbers), and physical addresses of client representatives.
- Account Credentials: Usernames, passwords, and authentication tokens required for managing client systems (stored securely).
- Technical Data: Device information, network details, IP addresses, and system logs for the purposes of monitoring and support.
- Service Data: Information related to tickets, usage of systems, and infrastructure performance.
- SMS/Text Messaging Data: Mobile phone numbers, opt-in and opt-out status, consent records, message delivery status, and timestamps of messages sent and received.
We do not collect personal data from your customers unless explicitly authorized and required for a managed service function.
2. How We Use Information.
We use the information we collect to:
- Deliver and manage IT services under our service agreements.
- Respond to support requests and resolve technical issues.
- Monitor system health, performance, and security.
- Communicate service-related updates and billing information.
- Send SMS/text messages related to support tickets, maintenance alerts, service outages, and other IT service notifications.

3. SMS/Text Messaging Privacy.
This section specifically addresses how we handle information related to our SMS/text messaging program.
What We Collect for SMS: When you opt in to our SMS messaging program, we collect your mobile phone number, your consent status, the date and method of your opt-in, and message interaction data (delivery receipts and opt-out requests).
How We Use SMS Data: Your mobile phone number and related data are used solely to send you IT service-related notifications, including support ticket updates, maintenance alerts, service outage notices, and resolution summaries.
No Sharing of Mobile Opt-In Data: We will not sell, rent, loan, trade, lease, or otherwise transfer for profit any phone numbers or personal information collected through our SMS opt-in process to any third party for their marketing purposes. Your mobile opt-in consent data will not be shared with or sold to third parties.
Third-Party Service Providers: We use Twilio, a third-party messaging platform, to deliver SMS messages on our behalf. Twilio processes your mobile phone number solely for message delivery purposes and is bound by their own privacy policy and data processing agreements. No other third parties receive your SMS opt-in data.
SMS Data Retention: We retain your mobile phone number and opt-in records for as long as you are an active client and have not opted out of SMS communications. Opt-out requests are processed immediately. After termination of services, SMS data is retained for a maximum of 90 days and then permanently deleted.
Your SMS Rights: You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. You may request information about the data we hold related to your SMS enrollment by contacting us at info@abatetechnology.com.
4. Information Sharing.
We do not sell or rent client data. We may share information:
- With authorized service providers or vendors working on our behalf under NDA and security agreements (e.g., Twilio for SMS delivery).
- When required by law or legal process (e.g., court orders or subpoenas).
- To protect our rights, property, or safety, or those of our clients.
We do not share, sell, or distribute mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in consent data to third parties for marketing or promotional purposes under any circumstances.
5. Data Security.
We take data security seriously and implement industry-standard safeguards to protect information, including:
- Encryption of data at rest and in transit.
- Access controls and audit logging.
- Regular security assessments and patch management.
- Secure storage of SMS consent records and mobile phone numbers.
6. Data Retention.
We retain client information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy or to comply with legal obligations. Upon termination of services, we offer secure data return or destruction. SMS-related data is retained for no more than 90 days following termination of services or opt-out.
7. Your Rights and Choices.
Clients may:
- Request access to their information, including SMS-related data.
- Request correction or deletion of inaccurate or outdated data.
- Opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP.

- Instruct us on how to handle data after the termination of services.
8. TCPA Compliance.
Abate Technology Services LLC complies with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and all applicable federal and state regulations regarding SMS/text messaging. We obtain express written consent before sending any SMS messages and honor all opt-out requests immediately.
9. Updates to This Policy.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this document indicates when this version was last updated. Clients will be notified of material changes. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
